Major Trail Upgrade Started | ![]() |

Trail Upgrade Project 2003 In the winter of 2002 - 2003 the new trail committee was given the task of finding out what it would take to get a larger groomer on our trails. At that time about 45 miles of trail were being groomed with four skandics and 4' drags. Some of the bridges could be used but there were others only wide enough for a snowmobile. To make matters worse, three that needed an upgrade were on major traffic trails. It was determined in order to get at least a 6' groomer on our trails any bridges built from that point on should be at least 11' wide and rated at 5 ton load. Some culverts had to be wider and some new ones added. It looked like a big job, and it was. This would turn out to be a 3 year project! |
